Welcome to Standalone.

This is my new interactive webcomic for Wednesday subscribers. Crowd-sourced suggestions and directives will help create a weaving, complex story about the residents of the vaguely recognizable city of Standalone.

Last week I asked you to vote between “Loosely Autobiographical” and “Entirely Fictional.” 83% of you voted for “Loosely Autobiographical,” - so here we are. Standalone looks a lot like Melbourne, circa 1995. I do have to admit that this is very loosely autobiographical, but I intend to keep weaving little bits of reality into the narrative as we go. I hope you enjoy it - and please vote for your choice for the next steps in the poll at the end. The next instalment will be in a couple of weeks.
