The activity can be frustrating, but the feeling of deep satisfaction when I finally get there makes it well worth it. I guess it’s a bit like the idea of “closing the gap,” Ira Glass-style. Sometimes it takes dozens of iterations, many years (or decades, even) of work, and countless abandoned creatures before I hit the thing that makes me feel completely content.
This week I thought I would provide you with a photo essay on some of my doll-making developments over the years.
